A Wonderful Christmas Story by Sherrill S. Cannon

Santa’s Birthday Gift is an attempt to include Santa in the meaning of Christmas. (After I read a story of the nativity to my young granddaughter, she looked at me and asked “But where’s Santa?”) The editor who critiqued this book wrote: “What a cute story! I know there are many stories about how Santa came into the picture, but this is a delightful idea behind the gifts at Christmas.” The story is best for ages 3-10, to be read to children who still believe in Santa! The author discusses twelve checkpoints that help the reader to understand what it is to be a “born-again” believer. Filled with scripture application, Author Dr. Joseph Hysekll Jr., has carefully laid down a solid foundation built upon the Holy Scriptures. The twelve checkpoints then can be discussed in a small group setting or read individually. The author indicates that many profess to be a Christian, but their life does not demonstrate a life lead by the “indwelling” of the Holy Spirit. This book will identify the “born-again” believer and demonstrates the difference between knowing about God, and really knowing Christ in the power of His resurrection.

An exciting and short read, this book is an excellent ministering tool that can be used to bring others into the Kingdom of God. This study, as suggested by the author, is recommended for groups not bigger than ten to keep the teachings on a very personal level. A Sunny Tomorrow by Author, Theresa Franklin, is a collection of delightful short stories written for young children. This endearing collection has nineteen short stories in all. Each story deals with a different subject. The author truly captures the heart and mind of the child in each story. Additionally, this author is known for identifying with children’s feelings within each subject and especially when dealing with difficult subjects such as divorce, adoption, having a parent with special needs or dealing with the loss of a parent.

Included in this entertaining collection are more humorous stories that deal with much lighter subjects such as grandmas, tasting something to eat before you decide you don’t like it and how a lovely blue flower called a bluebonnet grows or how to be superhero. Each story is entertaining and enchanting for children of young ages to sit and listen to. I found myself chuckling at some of the tales, as the author really knows how a kid thinks. My six year old was quite enchanted and kept saying, “That’s true, that’s what I think.”

Other thoughtful writings are written for comfort, such as Sometimes You Need a Shoulder and Mommy Doesn’t Cry Anymore or Daddy, I’m Scared. Other stories included are simply written for humor and entertainment, like Jolene the Pig or Brent and Dad Go Fishing. No matter which story you choose, you can be sure your children will be thoroughly entertained and will be asking you to read more and more.

Author Debra Diaz, in her fast paced novel, “Woman of Sin” takes you back through the centuries in her timeless classic. Follow young Alysia down her road of capture from her place of privilege in her Athenian home, to a Roman household to be bound forever as a slave. Taken from her home she loses everything, but she is yet to gain everything at the end of her road of travel. She is about to find true love in every sense of the word.

Author Debra Diaz elegantly and beautifully weaves an unforgettable story of true love, mirroring scenes taken from the scriptures, where young Alysia is tested by trials and tribulations back in a time where women were of little esteem, except for their purpose in child bearing. Perseverance, romance, forbidden love, and endless unfailing love, take you on an adventure that you will not forget.

With the use of beautiful, descriptive and explosive imagery, biblical scenes come alive as the author uses the “Woman of Sin” to introduce the reader to a man called Jesus as He walked the earth and preached. Some called him ‘rabboni’ the word for ‘great teacher.’ Yet as the story unfolds you will see that he is more than a great teacher, for he can perform such miracles as healing a leper, healing the blind and the paralyzed, even raising the dead. He was the Son of God walking the earth, the lamb without sin, crucified for our sins so that we might live. Without His resurrection from the cross, he would be little more than a famed teacher to once have graced this earth. The author leads you to want to know more about this Jesus.

Filled with suspense and romance, this novel is eloquently written and will take the reader back through time and lead you on a journey that is so real, so tangible, you’ll not want it to end. A true masterpiece! This book comes highly recommended. You will not be able to put this one down, I assure you! The book is truly a mini-series in the making. The play is about an arrogant millionaire who does not believe in God and Jesus Christ's Salvation for man. The millionaire believes man is the measure of all things and not God. He refuses to accept the fact he is in hell. He believes his paper work must have been misplace and this is all a mistake. The millionaire is told that God does not make mistakes. He demands Satan look into the matter at once and complains it's to hot in hell and asks Satan to turn the air conditioners on.

Satan tries to convince the millionaire there is no paper work mix up and hell is where he belongs. The millionaire not hearing any of it tells Satan he needs better customer service in hell because he would never hire him. Satan has the other residences of hell to give their testimonies of why they were in hell, but the millionaire is unconvinced.
